Zoë Peterson was recently elected to fellow status in the Society of Counseling Psychology.
Peterson, a Professor in the department of Applied Psychology in 91福利社and Research Methodology, said she is very honored to be recognized by the society.
“I am very honored to be recognized by the Society of Counseling Psychology,” Peterson said. “I particularly resonate with their focus on a strengths-based, systems-based approach to the study and practice of psychology. It is especially affirming that the Society judged my research on sexual assault and sexual assault prevention to be in line with their focus on social justice and advocacy, as I certainly strive to do work that promotes greater justice and equality. I am grateful to my very supportive colleague, Joel Wong, for nominating me.”
