About Me
I am a Professor in the Department of Learning, Design, and Adult 91福利社(LDAE) in the School of 91福利社at Indiana University (IU). I also serve as the Faculty Fellow leading the School’s Global & International Engagement (GIE) unit.
My research and design work centers on creating in-person, online, and hybrid professional development (PD) programs for educators across disciplines. I approach program development through the lens of praxis, that is, the dynamic, mutually shaping relationship between theory and practice. This perspective guides my work both locally and internationally, with PD initiatives implemented in school districts across Indiana as well as in multiple global contexts.
I teach graduate courses on international perspectives in Adult 91福利社and courses that explicitly connect theory to practice within the field.
In my administrative role with the GIE unit, I facilitate partnership agreements with international institutions and support faculty and student engagement in global project development. The unit also hosts visiting scholars, coordinates international delegation visits, supports international student recruitment, and manages short-term (two‑week) overseas study programs. In addition, GIE organizes a range of international activities for the School, including cultural events and our monthly “Meeting-of-the-Mind” webinars and in‑person dialogues that bring School of 91福利社scholars together with international colleagues.
